Lightweight design makes it highly FUEL efficient and cost-effective to run.
The ARCC Longreach is our flagship vehicle, proudly engineered, tested, manufactured, and supported in Australia with the highest local content. The Longreach Hydrogen, a sister model to the Longreach Electric, is designed to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission buses (ZEBs) by offering multiple power trains.
As the third generation of ARCC’s ZEB series, this production-ready model builds on the success of its predecessors, which have excelled in government trials for their class-leading efficiency, thanks to a lightweight aluminum chassis and body. The latest generation is optimized for driveability, serviceability, and passenger comfort, boasting the highest efficiency in its class for 18T GVM 12.5m city buses, verified independently.
The Longreach Hydrogen features ARCC’s modular Hydrogen Power Module (HPM), offering multiple tank configurations, including Luxfer 350 bar Type 3 systems (30.8kg nominal storage). The HPM integrates Ballard’s latest 70kW FCMove fuel cell, Innotherm cooling, Swagelok hydrogen transport systems, and Klinefire fire suppression, all within a modular, remotely monitorable control system that ensures easy serviceability and reliability.
ARCC is the most experienced manufacturer of hydrogen vehicles currently in Australia, with hydrogen city buses currently operating in NSW and VIC.
